Yucatán Nature & Soft Adventure Tour – 7 Days

Day 1 – Arrival in Cancun, Riviera Maya or Mérida

• Arrival at Cancun International Airport, Riviera Maya or Mérida. Reception by our local team and private transfer to the hotel.
• Depending on arrival time, the group may enjoy a welcome dinner, a short orientation walk or free time to rest before beginning the adventure.
• This tour can start from the beach area or directly from Mérida, depending on flight schedules, hotel preferences and the final route design.

Overnight: Tulum, Riviera Maya or Valladolid, according to final routing.

Day 2 – Tulum Archaeological Site, Cenote Experience & Sian Ka’an or Muyil

• After breakfast, visit the Tulum archaeological site, one of the most visually impressive Maya sites in Mexico because of its privileged location facing the Caribbean Sea.
• After the visit, continue with a cenote experience. Depending on the group profile, this can be a relaxed swim, snorkeling experience or light cave-style visit in a safe and controlled environment.
• In the afternoon, explore the natural beauty of Sian Ka’an or the Muyil area, depending on the final logistics. This experience may include lagoons, mangroves, canals, boardwalks, boat rides or nature observation.
• The goal of this day is to combine archaeology, water, nature and landscape in a way that introduces travelers to the adventurous side of the Yucatán Peninsula.

Overnight: Tulum or Valladolid.

Day 3 – Cobá, Jungle Landscapes, Cenotes & Valladolid

• Today the route continues toward Cobá, an important Maya archaeological site surrounded by jungle and lagoons.
• The visit allows travelers to experience a different atmosphere from Tulum or Chichén Itzá. Cobá is especially attractive for soft-adventure travelers because of its forested setting, internal paths and connection with the ancient Maya road system.
• After the archaeological visit, continue to one or more cenotes in the area. These natural freshwater pools are among the most memorable experiences in Yucatán and can be adapted to the comfort level of the group.
• In the afternoon, arrive in Valladolid, a beautiful colonial city with colorful streets, historic churches, local shops and a relaxed atmosphere.

Overnight: Valladolid.

Day 4 – Ek Balam, Cenote & Living Maya Community Experience

• After breakfast, visit Ek Balam, one of the most interesting Maya archaeological sites near Valladolid. Ek Balam offers a more intimate experience than larger and more crowded sites, making it ideal for travelers who want to combine archaeology with nature and local atmosphere.
• After the visit, enjoy a cenote experience or a community-based activity. Depending on the final design, the group may learn about traditional hammock-making, local agriculture, honey, regional cooking, medicinal plants or daily life in a nearby Maya community.
• This day is important because it connects adventure with culture. Travelers do not only visit ancient ruins; they also discover how Maya heritage remains alive in local communities, traditions, food and family-based activities.
• Evening at leisure in Valladolid.

Overnight: Valladolid.

Day 5 – Río Lagartos, Las Coloradas & San Felipe

• Today the journey continues toward the northern coast of Yucatán.
• Visit Río Lagartos, one of the most attractive natural areas of the peninsula. Enjoy a boat ride through mangroves and coastal ecosystems, with opportunities to observe birds, flamingos and local wildlife depending on the season and natural conditions.
• Continue to Las Coloradas, known for its pink salt lagoons and unusual landscapes. This is one of the most photogenic experiences in Yucatán and works very well for travelers interested in nature, color, photography and unique places.
• A visit to San Felipe, a small fishing village with colorful houses and a peaceful atmosphere, can also be included depending on time and routing.
• Return to Valladolid or continue toward Mérida.

Overnight: Valladolid or Mérida.

Day 6 – Izamal, Cenotes or Hacienda Experience & Mérida

• After breakfast, travel toward Mérida with a cultural and natural stop in Izamal, the Yellow City of Yucatán.
• Visit the Convent of San Antonio de Padua, walk through the historic center and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this Pueblo Mágico, where Maya and colonial heritage coexist in a very visible way.
• Depending on the route and group interests, the day may also include a cenote area, a former hacienda, a local lunch or a light outdoor activity before arriving in Mérida.
• In the afternoon, enjoy an introduction to Mérida, the cultural capital of Yucatán. The visit may include the historic center, Plaza Grande, Cathedral, Paseo de Montejo and time to enjoy local cafés, restaurants or cultural life.

Overnight: Mérida.

Day 7 – Mérida Departure or Extension to Cancun / Riviera Maya

• Depending on flight schedules, enjoy free time in Mérida or a short final visit before the transfer to the airport.
• For travelers continuing their vacation, this tour can be extended to Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Tulum, Progreso, Sisal, Celestún or another beach destination.
• It can also be combined with other MexicoTopTravel experiences, including the Yucatán Agriculture Farm Tour, Yucatán & Campeche Mayan Heritage Tour, Copper Canyon, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Chiapas or Cuba.
