📆 Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Mexico City | Welcome to the Historic Capital
- Upon arrival at Mexico City International Airport, meet a MexicoTopTravel representative and transfer by private vehicle to your centrally located hotel.
- Depending on the arrival time, enjoy a panoramic introduction along Paseo de la Reforma, the Ángel de la Independencia, Chapultepec and selected neighborhoods.
- Check-in, orientation and time to rest. An optional welcome dinner can be arranged at a traditional or contemporary Mexican restaurant.
Day 2 – Historic Center and National Museum of Anthropology
- Begin with a guided exploration of Mexico City’s UNESCO-listed Historic Center: the Zócalo, Metropolitan Cathedral, surrounding colonial buildings and the archaeological legacy of ancient Tenochtitlan.
- Continue along Paseo de la Reforma and the Chapultepec area to visit the National Museum of Anthropology, one of the world’s most important museums dedicated to Mexico’s pre-Hispanic civilizations.
- The day may be complemented with a selected lunch, a visit to the Palace of Fine Arts area, or an evening cultural performance.
Day 3 – Tlatelolco, Basilica of Guadalupe and Teotihuacán
- Visit the Plaza of the Three Cultures at Tlatelolco, where pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern Mexico meet.
- Continue to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, an essential spiritual, historical and cultural landmark of Mexico.
- Travel to Teotihuacán to explore the Avenue of the Dead, the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon and the monumental urban plan of this ancient city.
- Return to Mexico City in the late afternoon. A regional lunch near the archaeological zone can be included.
Day 4 – Flight to Mérida | Colonial City and Yucatecan Culture
- Private transfer to the airport for the flight to Mérida. Upon arrival, meet the local MexicoTopTravel team and transfer to your hotel.
- In the afternoon, discover the historic center of Mérida, Plaza Grande, the Cathedral of San Ildefonso, Casa de Montejo, Paseo de Montejo and the city’s characteristic architecture.
- Enjoy an introduction to Yucatecan cuisine and the relaxed atmosphere of the “White City.”
Day 5 – Uxmal, Puuc Heritage and Hacienda Experience
- Travel south to Uxmal, one of the finest examples of Puuc-style Maya architecture. Explore the Pyramid of the Magician, the Nunnery Quadrangle, the Governor’s Palace and ceremonial plazas.
- According to the final program, add Kabah or another Ruta Puuc site, followed by lunch at a traditional restaurant or a selected hacienda.
- Return to Mérida with time for an independent evening or an optional cultural activity.
Day 6 – Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid | Continue to Cancún
- Depart Mérida for Chichén Itzá, the most internationally recognized Maya archaeological site in Mexico. Visit El Castillo, the Great Ball Court, the Temple of the Warriors and other principal monuments with an expert guide.
- Continue to a selected cenote for swimming, relaxation and lunch.
- Walk through colonial Valladolid, including its central plaza and colorful historic streets, before continuing by private vehicle to Cancún or the Riviera Maya.
- Overnight at a selected beach-area hotel or resort.
Day 7 – Departure or Mexican Caribbean Extension
- Private transfer to Cancún International Airport according to the flight schedule.
- Travelers may extend the program with additional nights in Cancún, Playa del Carmen, the Riviera Maya, Isla Mujeres or another Mexican Caribbean destination.
