Legal Dispositions of Mexico´s Civil Registry
The Mexican Civil Registry Law contemplates legal measures against anyone that breaks the law before or during contracting marriage.
The judges of the Civil Registry will only refuse to authorize marriage, when by terms of request, by the knowledge of those interested or by the denunciation in form, obtains news that one of the parts or both lack the legal aptitude to contract marriage.
The judge of the Civil Registry that receives a request for marriage, is fully authorized to demand that the applicants carry out all their declarations that they esteem convenient with the objective of proving their identity and their aptitute to contract marriage. |
