Day 2, MEXICO CITY

  • 9:00 Departure of the tour from the Hotel Lobby to the Historic Center of Mexico, known as Zócalo or Plaza de la Constitución, here you will visit the National Palace where you will observe the Macro Mural painted by the famous Mexican muralist Diego Rivera in which they represent different scenes from the history and development of Mexico.
  • You will also visit the outer area of the ruins of Tenochtitlán capital of the Aztec Empire; Later on, you will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest in Latin America, one of the most outstanding works of Hispanic American Art built over three centuries and encompassing in the same space the different styles of the Viceroyalty era. It will be wrapped in the historical center of all the architectural jewels of Mexico, being one of the most representative squares in Latin America, for having a meeting point between the political, economic, religious power of the indigenous and viceregal past of Mexico.

Day 3, BASILIC OF GUADALUPE & PYRAMIDS OF TEOTIHUACAN

  • Breakfast.
  • 9:00 Departure of the Tour to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe: Queen of Mexico and Empress of America, you will know the old basilica, the hill of Tepeyac where the apparition and the miracle happened to Juan Diego, the garden of offerings, the Indian chapel, the old Basilica and the current one where you can admire up close the royal tilma of the Virgin of Guadalupe to which all pilgrims ask for miracles.
  • The tour continues with a visit to the Plaza de las 3 Culturas, one of the most significant in Mexico City, since it reflects three important stages in the history of Mexico: the pre-Hispanic, the colonial and the contemporary.
  • Later we continue to the incredible Pyramids of Teotihuacán, entrance to the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, you will know the temple of Quetzalcóatl, the temple of the Jaguar by taking a walk along the Avenue of the Gods.

Day 4, CHOLULA & PUEBLA

  • 7:00 Breakfast at the Hotel.
  • 8:00 Departure to the state of Puebla with a distance of approximately 120 kilometers from Mexico City. You will visit the Archaeological Zone of Cholula with the largest pyramid in the world. Cholula is distinguished as the city of 365 churches, as it has a Church to visit every day of the year.
  • Continuation of the tour to the beautiful capital of the state Puebla de los Ángeles, a purely colonial city decorated with the famous tiles (Talaveras). We visit the beautiful Cathedral, the Main Square, the Temple of Santo Domingo, the Chapel of the Rosary, considered the eighth wonder of the art world.
  • Time for lunch.
  • Visit a place where they make talavera, which is a type of majolica pottery, which is distinguished by its glassy white as a base of color. The authentic talavera only comes from the city of Puebla and the towns of Atlixco, Cholula and Tecali de Herrera, due to the fact that the type of clay and the history of crafts come from that region. Day 5, MÉXICO CITY - TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ - SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS

  • Transfer from the Hotel to the Benito Juárez International Airport to take the flight suggested by Interjet 2609 to Tuxtla Gutiérrez at 6:55 am, arriving at the Tuxtla International Airport at 8:25 am (not included).
  • Reception at the Tuxtla Gutiérrez Airport.
  • 9:00 Welcome and transfer to the Chiapa de Corzo where the fluvial journey will begin through the Sumidero Canyon, a geological fault 35 km long and walls over a thousand meters high. Within this 2-hour tour, you will find the following attractions: Christmas Tree Waterfall, Cueva del Silencio, Cueva de Colores, as well as local flora and fauna, reaching the Chicoasen dam one of the largest in the world.

Day 6, PUEBLOS INDIGENAS (CHAMULA Y ZINACANTAN)

  • Transfer to the highlands of Chiapas, where you will visit the magical towns of Chamula and Zinacantan, where you will be able to appreciate these living cultures, and we will be surrounded by history and tradition, it is suggested to shop for representative textiles and crafts.
  • In the afternoon return to San Cristóbal de las Casas, a colonial and cosmopolitan city.

Day 7, LAGOS DE MONTEBELLO Y CASCADAS EL CHIFLON

  • 8:00 Breakfast.
  • 9:00 Transfer to the Lakes of Montebello that owe their fame to the different shades of their waters that range from pale blue to violet, emerald and turquoise, these shades are produced by the soil, the vegetation and the refraction of light.
  • Visit to El Chiflón Waterfalls, a chain of waterfalls formed by the San Vicente river bed, which precipitates in several falls, the largest of which is 70 meters high. The natural pools that form is of waters of intense turquoise blue color; coupled with these waterfalls.
  • Transfer back to the hotel in San Cristóbal de las Casas.

Day 8, CASCADAS DE AGUA AZUL, MISOL HA AND PALENQUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL ZONE

  • 6:00 Breakfast (Box lunch).
  • Transfer to the impressive waterfalls of blue water, a protected reserve whose main attraction is the waterfalls that are formed thanks to the convergence of 3 rivers, forming canyons and cliffs giving rise to the Blue and White waterfalls, a color that is due to the living karst rock that it is dissolved by the passage of water.
  • Later, the Misol Ha waterfall is visited, a waterfall approximately 30 meters high, which, when falling, forms a large pool in which it is possible to practice swimming with caution. This refreshing and beautiful landscape is found in a typical example of the high tropical jungle of the Chiapas highlands, and in the midst of a rich vegetation made up of tall specimens of mahogany, chicozapote and water sticks.

Day 9, PALENQUE – CAMPECHE

Day 10, CAMPECHE - UXMAL- MÉRIDA

Day 11, MÉRIDA - CELESTÚN

  • 8:30 Breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Enjoy an excursion to the Ría Celestún Biosphere Reserve, an area that serves as a refuge for numerous migratory birds, and one of the two sites in Mexico where the pink flamingo reproduces. This protected natural area safeguards different ecosystems and a fauna diversity, including endangered species such as hawksbill and cahuana turtles, jabirú, spider monkey, anteater, jaguar, manatee and tapir.
  • You will board a boat to cross part of the estuary, where you can observe the beautiful pink flamingos. Also, you will visit the Bird Island which as its name implies is full of birds. You will cross the mangroves to reach a water hole where you can cool off with a bath. Later you will go to the beach where you will have time to rest and enjoy lunch.
