ITINERARY

Day 1, MEXICO CITY

  • Arrival to Mexico City International Airport.
  • Welcome at International Airport of Mexico City.
  • Transfer In from Airport to Hotel in Mexico City.
  • Check In at the Hotel in Mexico City.
  • Free Evening.
  • Accommodation in a standard room with breakfast included at the Hotel Fontán Reforma or similar 4* with all local and hotel taxes included.

Day 2, CITY TOUR

  • 8:00 Breakfast at the Hotel.
  • 9:00 Departure of the Tour to the Historic Center of Mexico known as Zócalo or Plaza de la Constitución considered a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO, in which you can visit the famous Macro Mural painted by the famous Mexican muralist Diego Rivera that is embodied in the National Palace, with the aim of bringing history and art closer to citizens, at a time with high illiteracy rates where different scenes from the history and development of Mexico are represented.
  • You will continue with this great tour visiting the outside area of the ruins of Tenochtitlan capital of the Aztec Empire that was the center of the Mexican religious life and one of the most famous ceremonial buildings of the time; Later we will find the Metropolitan Cathedral, headquarters of the Primate Archdiocese of Mexico, the largest in Latin America, one of the most outstanding works of Hispanic American Art built over three centuries and encompassing in the same space the different architects, painters, sculptors, givers and artists with different styles from the Viceroyalty era.

  • The Panoramic Tour continues on Reforma Avenue, one of the main and most beautiful Avenues in the City, on this avenue you can see Monuments such as: The symbolic Angel of Independence, La Diana, La Torre Caballito, Statue of Carlos V, Statue of Cuauhtémoc the last Mexica ruler of Mexico. You will also appreciate the majestic buildings such as the largest tower with its 55 floors high which is one of the imposing skyscrapers in the city, an admirable building, one of the tallest buildings in all of Latin America.
  • The tour will end with a tour of Chapultepec and the Residential area of Las Lomas through which we will head towards the Anthropology Museum, one of the most important museum sites in Mexico and Latin America, conceived to house and exhibit the archaeological legacy of the peoples of Mesoamerica, as well as to account for the current ethnic diversity of the country, in this museum your guide will show you and explain the Mexica Room that has its importance as being one of the most powerful groups in Mesoamerica upon the arrival of the Spanish.
  • 17:00 Return to the hotel.

Day 3, MEXICO CITY - BASILIC OF GUADALUPE - TEOTIHUACAN PYRAMIDS

  • 8:00 Breakfast at Hotel.
  • 9:00 The tour begins in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe: Queen of Mexico and Empress of America, meet the ancient basilica, the hill of Tepeyac where the appearance and the miracle of Juan Diego, the garden of offerings, occurred in The Indian chapel, the old basilica and the stream where you can admire closely the true Tilma of the Virgin of Guadalupe to all pilgrims who ask for miracles.
  • The tour continues with a visit to the Plaza of the 3 Cultures, one of the most significant of the city of Mexico, as it reflected three important stages of the history of Mexico: Pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary.
  • Then we continue to the incredible Pyramids of Teotihuacan, when visiting the pyramids, you will be able to perceive the greatness of Mesoamerican cultures and the complex architectural advance that they had.
  • Entrance to the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, will know the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Temple of the Jaguar by a walk along the Avenue of the Gods.
  • Time for lunch at local restaurant near the pyramids (not included).
  • 18:00 Return to Hotel.

Day 4, MEXICO CITY - CHIHUAHUA

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out of hotel.
  • Transfer to International Airport to take flight from Mexico City Airport to Chihuahua. A flight suggested by Aeroméxico leaving at 13:15 arriving in Chihuahua at 14:30. (Not included in the price).
  • Welcome at the Chihuahua airport, the largest capital of Mexico, this colonial destination has a history that is reflected in its buildings, parks, central squares and in the Museum of Pancho Villa mainly.
  • Transfer to the hotel for check in.
  • Departure from the hotel to start your walk around the city visiting the cathedral known as the most important baroque-style religious monument in northern Mexico, the university cultural center, formerly Quinta Gameros which is an art nouveau-style mansion built in the early 20th century in the city of Chihuahua and is considered one of the most important architectural monuments in the city. Visit Pancho Villa's house - where the famous "Centauro del Norte" spent his last days and today the museum of the revolution and the murals of the Government Palace.
  • Transfer back to the hotel in Chihuahua.
  • Free evening.
  • Accommodation at the Sheraton Soberano Hotel or Hampton Inn Hotel or Wingate 4* superior or similar with all taxes included.

Day 5, CHIHUAHUA - CREEL

  • 7:00 Breakfast.
  • 7:30 Our driver-guide will provide your transfer by Van from Chihuahua to the logging town of Creel passing through the Mennonite fields there we will visit their industrial zone, the fields where they live, we will visit the cheese factory where you can buy the products they make such as salamis cheeses and jams.
  • Later we will taste a delicious fridge in a typical Mennonite house.
  • Continuing our spectacular tour to the town of Creel. Creel is 247 km southeast of Chihuahua, the town lives on sawmills, livestock and tourism as it has gained importance in the lumber industry.
  • We will be arriving at approximately 1:00 p.m.
  • Transfer to your hotel and food included.
  • In the afternoon we will have a walk around Creel, visiting the Arareco Lake, the Jesuit mission of San Ignacio that in its backyard have the tombstones of the first missionaries who came to this land, you can see wooden cabins, the rural school, the valley of the mushrooms, the valley of the frogs and the inhabited Tarahumara cave.
  • Return to the hotel and dinner is included at night.
  • Accommodation at the Best Western hotel or Quinta Misión 4* superior or similar with all taxes included.

Day 6, CREEL - BARRANCAS DEL COBRE

  • This day starts very early with your transfer to the train station to take the new CHEPE EXPRESS railway at 7:30 am. After an hour and a half we will arrive at the Divisadero station around 9:00 am.
  • Optional breakfast aboard Chepe Train is recommended (should be paid by costumer).
  • Transfer to your hotel, for this morning we recommend you take the tour to the viewpoint of the flying stone and adventure park there you will have the opportunity to take a tour on the impressive cable car or get on one of the two dizzying zip lines including the "Zip Rider”. The second longest zip line in the world. (Transfer, entrance to the park and attractions not included).
  • Lunch included at the hotel around 2:00 p.m.
  • In the afternoon we will have a walk-through different viewpoint of barrancas.
  • Dinner included.
  • Accommodation with breakfast included in the Hotel Posada Mirador 4* superior or similar with all taxes included.

Day 7, BARRANCAS - BAHUICHIVO

  • Breakfast.
  • Free morning, it is recommended to take a walk around the hotel.
  • Approximately at 12:00 hours, the transfer by van to the town of Cerocahui is included, arrival at approximately 1:40 p.m. Arriving at the hotel, your walk to the Galician hill "Mirador de Urique" will be provided. Along the way we will see Tarahumara ranches and caves, an old church, as well as the spring of the Virgin. From the viewpoint of Cerro del Gallego, you can see at the bottom of the canyon, the old mining town of Urique, as well as the river of the same name.
  • Return to the hotel and in the evening, dinner is included.
  • Accommodation at Misión Cerocahui 4* superior or similar hotel with all taxes included.

Day 8, BAHUICHIVO - EL FUERTE

  • Breakfast.
  • For this morning, we recommend visiting the old church or walking through the town.
  • Around 10:10 a.m. you will be transferred to the train station to take your last journey on the CHEPE EXPRESS railway at 10:55 a.m. and continue our journey to El Fuerte on this route we will enjoy the views most spectacular of the train route, arrival at 15:05.
  • Transfer to your hotel and free afternoon, it is recommended to take the raft tour of the Fuerte river or walk through the cobbled streets of the town and get to know the old mansions (tours with additional cost).
  • Accommodation at the Hotel Posada Hidalgo 4* superior or similar with all taxes included.

Day 9, EL FUERTE - LOS MOCHIS DEPARTURE

  • Free morning.
  • Breakfast, for this morning it is recommended to visit the El Fuerte museum that is located behind your hotel.
  • Your adventure comes to an end with your departure transfer to Los Mochis airport. This transfer occurs by road with a travel time of 02:00 hours.
