Pantanos de Centla is considered a natural wonder of Mexico. It is located to the Northeast of Tabasco in the town of Centla.

 
  Pantanos de Centla is considered a natural wonder of Mexico. It is located to the Northeast of Tabasco in the town of Centla. It was declared Natural Reserve in 1992 and it is one of the largest in the country. It is the place where the waters of the rivers Grijalva and Usumancita meet. Pantanos is within the most important delta system in Mesoamerica.
This ecosystem also known as damp places has great biological diversity .Several rivers and over 100 lagoons meet here.569 species of plants distributed in 118 families have been registered and grouped in 8 main associations. It is estimated that there are at least 255 species of birds, 104 mammals, 68 reptiles, 52 kinds of fish and 27 species of amphibious. This route to the swamps includes a journey through Punta Manglar,Centro de interpretacion Uyotot-Ja, the beautiful beaches of the town among other attractions.
