Sierra de Tabasco is a region with uncountable natural attractions and exuberant flora and fauna.

 
  Sierra de Tabasco is a region with uncountable natural attractions and exuberant flora and fauna. The first journey begins in the town of Mascupana, 52 kilometers away from the South of Villahermosa in the region of Grijalva. This region is perfect for practicing mountaineering, rappel, camping, walks and especially for the observation of flora and fauna. The main areas are: Tortuguero, Encajonado and Campanero and the hills Paloma, Limon and Manatinero.

Sierra de Tabasco has a net of 27 lagoons, perfect for fishing and sailing. The rivers Mascupana, Tulija, Puxcatan, Tepetitan and Chilapa are also perfect for bathing and sailing. You can also find different birds such as: pijije, goose, ducks, chachalaca and tutupana at the margins of lagoons, rivers and streams. Sierra de Tabasco’ main touristic attraction is Park Agua Blanca, a natural protected area with 2,025 hectares of jungle where you can practice potholing and rappel.
