 Cozumel is an excellent destination to carry out any eco tourism activity or water sports. Along the island’s coast you can find beautiful beaches. In the areas of Norte and Sur Hotels you can find ideal slopes to practice different water activities mainly on sailing and windsurfing.
We recommend San Francisco Beach some 14 kilometers from San Miguel which is a beach with soft waves and very recommended for snorkeling and windsurfing, Encantada Beach in the extreme south of the island is very good for windsurfing, not far you can find the archeological area of El Caracol, probably a Maya observatory. Hernan Beach, located close o the San Gervasio Tourism Installation is protected by small islets and by El Castillo Real, the largest pre hispanic construction on the island. Towards the north of San Miguel, you can navegate towards the Isla de la Pasion, a small and peaceful island full of beautiful beaches, where you can find lots of birds and can enjoy different water activities like windsurfing and sailing. |
