The Bays of Huatulco has a number of sites in the coast and in the mountains that are ideal for climbing a rock, rappel and mountaineering. The best places for climbing are the cliffs of the Piedra del Sacrificio located in the La Bocana, where the Copalita River flows and the archeological area of Punta Celeste in the Botazoo National Park which is located 8 kilometers from Huatulco.
Punta Celeste has a wall of rock of 45 meters high and has an inclination of 100 degrees, and which is not envied by the best in the world.
The Piedra de Moros is also highlighted, located in the area of the same name in the municipality of Santa Maria Huatulco 30 minutes from the town of Crucecita. The origin of this impressive rock is found at the bottom of the sea: a bubble of giant lava that once contacting the water is crystalized, forming a almost perfect sphere of rock which with years was left in the open. Continue your adventure over the Copalita River where you will reach the Magical Waterfalls of Copalitilla, particularly a waterfall with an incredible 50m wall and 95 degrees inclination.
