 The Mountains of Tabasco is characterized by being a region with countless number of natural activities and exhuberant flora and fauna. Towards the south of Villahermosa, capital of the State of Tabasco, magical towns get together like Teapa, Tacotalpa and Maccuspana. Here you can practice any type of adventure sports, like rappel, mountain climbing among others.
The adventure begins in the municipality of Tacotalpa, located 64 kilometers from Villahermosa. Here you can find picturesque towns like Tapijulapa and Oxolotán. You can go to the small community of Tomas Garrido until you find the Almendros River, flowing Oxolotan. It flows towards the small community of Tomas Garrido to the Almendros River, flowing from Oxolotan. It has some difficulty but in the rainy season it can notably rise, especially in the Tomas Garrido region where you can find very technical rapids.
