This volcano is located in the town which it was named after (famous for being the cradle of the well –known Mexican beverage Tequila). It is said that in order to climb such mountainous area, you can go through a paved road built by the emperor Maximiliano in the nineteenth century. It is also said that three tunnels were built to go through the mountain and that trains used to go through these tunnels.
