  Mascupana, Tacotalpa and Teapa in Southern Sierra de Tabasco  
     
  Sierra de Tabasco is characterized for being a region with uncountable natural attractions and an exuberant flora and fauna. There are three special summits in the surroundings of Villahermosa, the capital of Tabasco.
Mascupana has a wide net of 27 lagoons. It is located in the region of Griijalba, 52 kilometers away from Villahermosa. There are also important places such as: the hills Paloma, Limon and Manatinero. Mascupana has great rivers: the Mascupana, Tulija, Puxcatan, Tepetitan and Chilapa, all of them ideal for fishing. The park Agua Blanca stands out due to its beautiful and exuberant waterfalls. Mascupana also counts with a cavern (Ixta-Ja) ideal for potholing. You can find the magical towns of Teapa, Tacotalpa and Mascupana in this area too.
There are colorful towns in Tacotalpa. They are: Tapijulapa, Oxotolan. There are also many hills such as: Monte Quemado, Campana, Madrigal, Cora de Ipahana, and Murcielago. The ecological reserve Kolem-Jaa also stands out. The rivers Oxolotan and Amatan cut through the town of Tacotalpa.
The hills Gordo and Madrigal are found in Teapa, where the rivers Teapa, Payucatengo, Tacotala and Pichucaclo are part of it.
